Sophie Willan Welcomes First Child, Shares Adorable Photos and Name

Bolton-born actress Sophie Willan has welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Elijah, sharing the happy news on Instagram Stories on Sunday, November 30. The 38-year-old star of Alma's Not Normal posted a photo from her hospital bed, cradling her newborn son.

In a second image, her partner, chef Carniel Francis Levy, stood beside the bed, touching her hand as she held Elijah, who wore a blue hat. The BAFTA winner captioned the family photo with red-heart emojis.

Willan announced her pregnancy in May, just days after winning Best Scripted Comedy at the BAFTAs for Alma's Not Normal. She shared a dinner photo with Levy and revealed they were expecting a baby boy, writing: 'Our lives are about to change forever, in the most chaotic, joyful, and magical way.'

Throughout her pregnancy, Willan kept fans updated, including a nude mirror selfie in August showing her growing bump. Last month, she was filmed 'foraging' for biscuits in her pyjamas, joking: 'You've got to get your kicks where you can, and all I've got left are chocolate hob nobs!'

In her final days before giving birth, she posted a bump photo holding a smoothie, captioning it: 'Here I am, embodying the natural radiance and beauty of pregnancy in the final days.'
