Sophie Turner is reportedly preparing to return to the United Kingdom with her two daughters following her divorce from Joe Jonas. The 29-year-old actress, best known for her role in Game of Thrones, is said to have reached a custody agreement with the 35-year-old singer, allowing her to move back with their children, Willa, four, and Delphine, two.
Turner and Jonas ended their five-year marriage in September after announcing their separation in 2023. Reflecting on the difficult period, Turner admitted she struggled emotionally. 'There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it,' she said. 'I would call my lawyer saying, “I can’t do this. I just can’t.” I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself.' She added that her lawyer reminded her it was her children she was fighting for.
Following the split, Turner began a relationship with aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. According to reports, she will now spend the majority of her time with the children as she moves forward with her new partner. Turner expressed mixed feelings about the divorce, saying, 'I’m unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children. They’re the victims in all of this. But I think we’re doing the best we can.' She also praised Jonas as a father: 'Joe is a great father to our children and that’s all I can ask for.'
Jonas has spoken about his own struggles after the split, including in his song Work It Out, which includes lyrics about feeling miserable and calling his parents for support. He is set to release a solo album called Music for People Who Believe in Love in May.
