Sophie Kasaei has opened up about her ongoing struggle with anxiety, which she says has left her 'riddled with anxiety' when leaving the house. The 36-year-old former Geordie Shore star shared her feelings in an Instagram post, explaining that she is slowly recovering after a traumatic period.
In the months leading up to the birth of her son Brody, Sophie's partner Jordan Brook was hospitalised with viral meningitis, leaving him temporarily unable to speak or walk. Sophie's candid post came as she shared pictures from a brunch outing with fellow reality stars Abbie Holborn and Nathan Henry.

Sophie wrote: "Finally feeling a little more like me. 8 weeks postpartum and I’m starting to come out the other side. Still riddled with anxiety when I leave the house but it’s getting better. Little brunch in the sun for my girls birthday then back home for Bath and bed time."
She added that she was still trying to find a "balance" as a new mum, saying: "This is all new! But Im starting to feel more like me again after trying for a baby for all them years and then being pregnant. Still early days and one step at a time."
Support from fellow reality stars
Several of Sophie's peers showed their support in the comments. Chloe Meadows, who appeared on The Only Way Is Essex, called Sophie a "pretty gal", while Love Island's Gabby Allen left a heart eyes emoji. Ellie Brown, from Love Island season four, commented: "You look lovely Soph."
Jordan's health battle
In recent TOWIE scenes, Sophie recounted the terrifying experience of Jordan's hospitalisation due to swelling on his brain. "I went to the hospital days later and looked at him on the bed and he couldn’t even look me in the eyes – he was just like asleep," she said. "He was non-verbal because his brain was swelling at such a rapid rate so it was putting pressure on the brain and on his skull."
Sophie explained that she sat by his bedside for most of the day because she was scared to leave him. She tearfully revealed that Jordan still bears the effects of the illness: "He’s got scarring on his brain. The front part of his brain is scarred and his moods will be like really up and down. And he’ll be really emotional and he’ll get quite forgetful and he’s obviously got like a limp now so he can’t really do much."
Son Brody's birth
Reflecting on their son, who was born shortly after Jordan's ordeal, Sophie said: "I don’t think we would have got through it without this little boy inside. I think that’s what kept him strong."
Announcing Brody's birth on Instagram, the couple wrote: "A moment we had dreamed of for so long. We can’t believe he is finally here, healthy and happy. Baby, Brody Jordan Daryll Brook. Born 11/06/26. You are our little miracle who has completed us. Mummy and Daddy love you."
Jordan also commented: "The most amazing feeling I have ever felt. My Boy, you are my everything and more. I can’t wait to show you this big wide world. My @sophiekasaei_ thank you for giving me the world. I adore you."
