Former Made In Chelsea star Sophie Habboo has opened up about the realities of postpartum life, revealing she ate her placenta but is unsure if it helped as she experiences significant hair loss. The 31-year-old, who welcomed son Ziggy with husband Jamie Laing in December, shared the candid admission during an Instagram Q&A.
When a fan asked for tips on coping with post-pregnancy body changes, Habboo responded: 'I mean I'd love to know the answer too. My hairs falling out by the second. I mean I ate my placenta? Not sure if it did anything?'
The couple, who met on the E4 reality show, have since starred in their own Disney+ docuseries 'Raising Chelsea', which documents their wedding and the birth of their son. Habboo admitted the camera intrusion was challenging, saying: 'I won't lie I found it challenging at times! It was my first pregnancy and I was very anxious about everything and so to have cameras following you was full on at times.'
She added: 'I was also not myself, my hormones were everywhere. I found pregnancy hard at times, ngl. And even harder to admit that because everyone talks about how magical it is but the reality was for me, I was so up and down.'
Habboo also revealed she suffered from pelvic bone pain during pregnancy. Despite the difficulties, she said she loved having the experience documented, calling it 'insane to have that time of my life documented'. The docuseries trailer shows a tense argument between the couple, with Habboo telling Laing: 'But you just go behind my back, that’s so unacceptable.'
