Jamie Laing Removes Video After Backlash Over Sophie Habboo Holding Baby Without Seatbelt

Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing has faced criticism after sharing a video of his wife Sophie Habboo holding their infant son Ziggy in a car without a seatbelt. The 37-year-old posted a montage to mark six months since Ziggy's birth, but quickly re-edited the tribute after followers condemned the lack of safety measures.

In the UK, children under 12 or under 135cm must be secured in an approved car seat. However, taxis are exempt if the driver does not provide a seat, though children must travel on a rear seat. The couple, who are public figures, have been determined to shield their son but are still navigating how much to share online.

Fans expressed outrage, with one writing: 'Nice to see you have removed the irresponsible clip... It would be wise to admit you have been irresponsible.' Another commented: 'Your baby has no voice to question you when you travel without a baby seat OR a seatbelt.'

Jamie and Sophie met on Made in Chelsea and now host Radio One shows. They are filming a Disney reality series, Raising Chelsea, which insiders say has put pressure on the couple, particularly Sophie, who has had to be camera-ready soon after giving birth. A source told The Sun: 'They didn’t really expect it to be as much pressure as it was.'
