Sofia Richie has announced that she is expecting a second child, a baby boy, after revealing the news at an intimate baby shower. The social media star, who is already mother to 19-month-old daughter Eloise Grainge, shared snaps from the event on Instagram, captioning a photo of place settings: 'Celebrating Eloise's soon-to-be brother.'
The baby shower was held at a venue styled as 'The Grainge Club', a nod to her husband Elliott Grainge's surname, with an Old Money aesthetic and a pajama-themed dress code. Sofia wore a yellow silk pajama set with a matching polka-dot robe, accessorising with stacked silver necklaces and diamond earrings. A friend's photo reposted by Sofia read: 'Showering boy mamma to be.'
Sofia, who married record executive Elliott Grainge in 2023, announced her second pregnancy on 16 October with a mirror selfie showcasing her bump, captioned: 'On my way to launch these babies.' The couple welcomed their first child, Eloise, in May 2024, and Sofia marked her first birthday with an emotional tribute, calling her daughter 'my greatest achievement' and 'my heaven on earth.'
During her first pregnancy, Sofia told Vogue she hoped to raise a 'smart, kind person' and emphasised the importance of manners and balance. She also expressed a desire to protect her children from social media until they are old enough to decide for themselves about being in the public eye.
