The couple, both founding members of the band Sleeper, exchanged vows in a registry office ceremony in Brighton, marking a milestone in their long-standing relationship.

The joyous occasion was confirmed through the band's official Instagram account, where Louise and Andy posted a series of candid snaps from their special day. In one image, the newlyweds are seen walking hand-in-hand out of the registry office, with guests showering them with confetti as they made their way to Brighton beach for picturesque photos.
Louise opted for a stylish animal-print outfit paired with cream ankle boots, while Andy looked sharp in a blazer, shirt, and trousers complemented by comfortable trainers. The couple captioned their announcement with a playful nod to their lengthy courtship, writing, "30 years. You don't want to rush into these things," accompanied by RAYE's song Where Is My Husband.

Louise and Andy's romance blossomed during the height of Britpop, while they were recording Sleeper's hit album The It Girl, released on May 6, 1996. Initially, the dynamics were complex, as Louise had previously been in a relationship with guitarist Jon Stewart, whom she met while studying at Manchester University in 1987. Despite the initial awkwardness, the band members navigated the situation with grace.
In a 2002 interview with The Guardian, Louise reflected on the challenges, stating, "To add to the strangeness, Andy and I had begun a relationship around the time we recorded our second album, The It Girl. At which point all four of us had buried our heads in our hands and wished we'd been wise enough to join a single-sex band." She credited their ability to "muddle through it," noting that Andy and she remained together, and Jon stayed a close friend, though they initially coped with pressures through "drug-taking and wilful excess."
Sleeper's Musical Legacy
The band, named after the Woody Allen film Sleeper, signed with Indolent Records in 1993 and quickly rose to fame. Their breakthrough came with the hit single Inbetweener in 1995, featuring TV icon Dale Winton in its promotional video. Over their career, Sleeper released five studio albums and two compilations, achieving eight Top 40 hits and three UK top 10 albums, with their music notably featured in the film Trainspotting.
After splitting in March 1998 due to cancelled tours and low ticket sales, the band reformed nine years ago for a series of summer shows across the nation. Throughout it all, Louise and Andy's partnership has remained a constant, now culminating in their marriage after sharing two children and decades of memories.
