Music mogul Simon Cowell has turned heads by showcasing his remarkably toned physique during his annual Christmas getaway to Barbados. The 66-year-old television judge shared a series of shirtless photographs and videos from the sun-drenched Caribbean island, where he is holidaying with his fiancée, Lauren Silverman, and their five beloved dogs.
Sun-Soaked Snaps and Canine Companions
In the cheerful images posted to social media on Sunday, 22nd December 2025, Cowell appeared in high spirits and excellent shape. He was photographed relaxing on a white sun lounger, with three of his Yorkshire Terriers—Freddie, Squiddly, and Diddly—cozily settled on his lap. Further content revealed the couple's other dogs, Daisy and Pebbles, joining the festive trip.
The animal lover also shared a playful video from the pool, where he could be seen giving one of the pups, Pebbles, a swimming lesson. Another clip humorously documented Squiddly and Diddly's 'annual swimming competition'. The intimate family moments extended to a sweet snapshot of the dogs perched on his bed and a loved-up shot of Simon with his arm around Lauren on a boat.
A Loved-Up Holiday for the Engaged Couple
Lauren Silverman, 48, epitomised holiday chic in a red one-piece swimsuit and black-tinted aviator sunglasses. Cowell, meanwhile, continued to display his buff torso, pairing black shorts with his signature sunglasses. Lauren shared the romantic boat image on her own Instagram feed, captioning it simply 'Us' alongside a string of red love heart emojis.
This annual Barbados retreat comes amid continued speculation about the couple's wedding plans. Cowell proposed to American socialite Lauren Silverman on Christmas Eve 2021. He has recently hinted that tying the knot is firmly on the cards, especially after Lauren began the process of changing her surname to Cowell by deed poll.
Insights from 'The Next Act' and Future Plans
The couple's relationship is featured in the new Netflix docuseries, The Next Act, which follows Cowell's nationwide search for the next major boyband—a project that recently launched the group December 10. The series also offers glimpses into their family life with son Eric and shows Lauren formalising her name change.
Cowell confessed that filming the series only strengthened his love for Lauren, who was initially reluctant to appear on camera. He told Us Weekly that watching her authentic self on screen had him 'absolutely cracking up'. Reflecting on their bond, he stated, 'We have a very, very close bond. I adore her. We are a very happy family, genuinely.'
While remaining private about specific dates, Cowell confirmed a wedding is the likely destination. 'When we decide to do it, it will be private, then people will know about it,' he said, adding that Lauren's name change made the direction of their relationship 'quite obvious'.
