Ozzy Osbourne's uncensored autobiography, titled 'Last Rites', is to be published posthumously after the rock star died aged 76 following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. The book, described as his 'last confessions', was completed before his death and will be released unchanged.
The autobiography includes details of Ozzy's affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh from 2012 to 2016, which devastated his wife Sharon. She has previously revealed she attempted suicide after learning of the betrayal. A source close to the publishers confirmed that not a word will be altered, even about painful times.
The book also contains Ozzy's epitaph joke about bats, along with a more profound inscription. Grieving widow Sharon Osbourne is reportedly being asked to write the foreword, which an insider said will be cathartic and allow her to 'leave her fingerprint' on the book.
A blurb for the book, due for release in October, says: 'Last Rites is the shocking, bitterly hilarious, never-before-told story of Ozzy's descent into hell. He reflects on his extraordinary life, his marriage to Sharon, and his triumphant return to the stage for the Back to the Beginning concert where he reunited with Black Sabbath for the final time.'
Ozzy died just three weeks after that farewell show in his hometown of Birmingham.
