Selena Gomez's kidney donor, Francia Raisa, has spoken out after not being invited to the singer's wedding to Benny Blanco. The actress, who donated a kidney to Gomez in 2017, dismissed rumours of a fallout in a recent interview.
In the interview, filmed at a bookstore, Raisa said in Spanish: 'I know she's getting married, and I'm very happy for her. And look... she has a life and she is already a billionaire and I am grateful that I could do that for her.' She emphasised that organ donation is about saving a life, not creating a bond.
Raisa also addressed rumours that she was angry with Gomez for not taking care of her body post-transplant, calling them 'nonsense' and denying she had ever commented on them. The 37-year-old added that she and Gomez can go long periods without talking but remain friends.
Gomez married music star Benny Blanco in a ceremony attended by celebrities including Taylor Swift, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Ed Sheeran. Raisa was notably absent from the guest list.
