Sean Bean's Marriage History: From High School Sweetheart to Fifth Wife

Sean Bean, star of the BBC drama Marriage, has a well-documented history of matrimony. The actor, known for roles in Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, has been married five times. His first wedding was to Debra James on 11 April 1981, when he was 21. The couple met at secondary school but split in 1988.

Bean then married actress Melanie Hill in 1990, with whom he had two daughters, Lorna and Molly. The marriage ended, and Hill later married TV producer Jimmy Daly. His third wife was Abigail Cruttenden, whom he met on the set of Sharpe in the late 1990s. They wed in 1997 and had a daughter, Evie, before divorcing in 2000.

In 2008, Bean married Georgina Sutcliffe, whom he met while performing in Macbeth in the West End. The relationship was turbulent, and they separated in 2010. In 2012, Bean was arrested over allegations of sending abusive texts and calls to Sutcliffe, but the Metropolitan Police later confirmed no further action would be taken.
