Kourtney Kardashian married Blink-182's Travis Barker in Las Vegas earlier this week, but fans may recall she nearly tied the knot with ex-lover Scott Disick during a family trip in 2007. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, now 42, almost impulsively married Disick at the age of 28 at A Little White Chapel.
During an episode of the show, Kourtney, who had suffered a pregnancy scare at the time, said: “This feels really rushed but I guess I’m about to get married.” She added: “I feel like we just woke up and haven’t had a second to think about this.”
Her mother, Kris Jenner, spoke to then-husband Caitlyn Jenner before sharing her concerns with Kourtney. The 66-year-old said: “This is wrong. You’ve got hot pink flowers, and you’re standing under plastic roses. I know you. It’s not about the things... but this feels wrong. You’re rushing it. [Caitlyn] isn’t here, your little sisters [Kendall and Kylie] aren’t here. They would die if they thought they weren’t your bridesmaids. Where is [Scott’s] family? This is about family!”
After some consideration, Kourtney told Scott the wedding was off, saying it felt “too rushed” and that it wasn’t what she had imagined. Kourtney finally got her happily ever after earlier this week, tying the knot with Travis Barker in Las Vegas after the Grammys. Sources say the couple married at a chapel after 1.30am, bringing their own photographer and security, and did not allow venue photos.
