Former A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas has announced she is pregnant with her first child. The 39-year-old shared the news with fiancé Kyle Murray in an Instagram post.
Instagram Announcement
The post featured a mock sensitive content warning. When viewers moved to the next picture, it asked: “are you sure you want to keep going?” The final image showed the couple together.
In the last picture, Kyle could be seen kissing Scarlette on the cheek while holding her baby bump. The caption read: “The exciting news is finally here. We’re over the moon to announce, we’re having a baby.” Fans were quick to comment offering their congratulations.
Previous Comments on Fertility
The announcement comes after the presenter revealed she had frozen her eggs in an interview on Lorraine in 2024. On the programme, she said: “I never thought I’d be 37 and no man, no husband, no baby.”
She continued: “So I figured that as a career-driven woman it’s been fantastic, but I do want to have a family, so I have to take my future into my own hands, and just prepare myself for having kids at a later date.”
“I would still of course love to have a child naturally but that might not be the case so this is something I had to do as a back up.”
