Scarlett Moffatt has unveiled a striking new look after giving up extreme dieting and embracing body positivity. The former Gogglebox star, 31, appeared on Big Brother: Late and Live on Sunday, where she drew attention for her slimmed-down appearance and received widespread praise from fans on social media.
Wearing a dark green feather-trimmed co-ord with a matching mini skirt, Moffatt looked more confident than ever. She later shared the outfit on Instagram, writing: 'Always been a huge fan of Big Brother... So glad I got to do a major tick off my bucket list and be at a launch night at @bbuk.'
Moffatt previously opened up about years of unhealthy habits, including limiting herself to 700 calories a day and attending a Swiss bootcamp with six hours of daily exercise. The strict regime followed the release of her 2016 fitness DVD, which documented a three-stone weight loss, but she later admitted it left her feeling miserable.
Now, she has rejected damaging routines in favour of self-acceptance. In a recent interview, she said: 'The thing with being body positive and having body confidence is just celebrating everybody’s body. As long as you are healthy, being yourself and you’re being nice to people, you do you.'
Moffatt, who won I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2016, is set to front a Channel 4 documentary, Britain’s Tourette’s Mystery: Scarlett Moffatt Investigates, later this year. She hopes to inspire younger generations by challenging unrealistic beauty standards.
