Scarlett Moffatt has announced the birth of her baby boy, sharing a heartwarming picture of him in her arms. The former Gogglebox star told Instagram followers that the newborn arrived a little earlier than expected, with the birth not quite as "straightforward" as planned.
Despite the difficulties, Scarlett had a beaming smile on her face as she posed with her partner and son in hospital. A caption shared said: "Our little family of four was made complete on Monday. Our hearts have never been so full, and 'Id do it all again for you, Clark."
Baby's Name and Family
Scarlett confirmed the full name as Clark Xander Robinson. She first announced the exciting news that she was expecting her second child with partner Scott Dobinson in April of this year. The TV star already has a son called Jude.
Announcing the pregnancy, Scarlett posted to Instagram: "We honestly can't believe we're writing this… after everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing. One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he's going to be a big brother."
Congratulations and Support
After the birth announcement this evening, Scarlett and Scott were congratulated on the new arrival. TikTok star GK Barry said "congratulations" alongside a string of red heart emojis. Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Vito Coppola said "I am so happy".
Messages from fans included: "Congratulations to both of you. Beautiful family" and "he is just adorable, Huge congratulations to you all." Further responses were "congratulations, he is the double of Jude" and "he’s so gorgeous and welcome to the world Clark."
Previous Struggles
Scarlett has previously opened up about miscarriage and the challenges she and Scott faced while trying to expand their family. In the I'm A Celebrity All Star jungle which aired last year, she spoke about her personal life.
She said: "We tried for a long time and had some losses, and it's not nice. And because no one talks about it, you think something is wrong with you.
"After Jude was born, we tried again and got quite far on and miscarried. I remembered Scott's mum and dad took Jude for the day, and me and Scott just laid in bed crying. It was awful. We've got Jude, so let's enjoy him. I just think it's so brave when people then continue the journey because it is soul-destroying."
