Sandra Bullock Praised for 'Amazing' Care of Late Partner Bryan Randall

Sandra Bullock has been praised for the 'amazing' way she cared for her long-term partner, Bryan Randall, before his death from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at age 57. Randall was diagnosed three years ago with the progressive neurodegenerative disease.

In a statement, Randall's family expressed gratitude to the doctors who navigated the illness and to the nurses who helped care for him. Bullock's sister, Gesine Bullock-Brado, posted a tribute on Instagram, writing: 'ALS is a cruel disease, but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home.'

Randall's family said the photographer chose to keep his journey with ALS private, and those who cared for him honoured that request. They asked for privacy to grieve and 'to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.'
