Samuel West, who plays Siegfried Farnon in the Channel 5 period drama All Creatures Great and Small, has shared his hopes for the character in Series 7. The show recently wrapped filming its next instalment, with fans eagerly awaiting a release date.
Cast Share Hopes for Series 7
In a video for Masterpiece, West commented: "I want to hear children laughing in Skaledale. I want love for Siegfried, in all its difficulty and imperfection. Not perfection."
Anna Madeley, who plays Mrs Hall, added: "The joy of having everybody home which, in their case, they're very lucky. They've got this surrogate family all come back. So I think having everybody around the table will be good. I think there are lots of exciting things that could happen."
Romance Hints Between Siegfried and Mrs Hall
Over the years, fans have been eager for a romance to blossom between Siegfried and Mrs Hall. Throughout season six, there were many hints that the pair could turn their friendship into something more. At one point, he confessed to her: "I'll always need you, Mrs Hall."
However, during the 2025 Christmas special, his former flame Dorothy returned as they shared a kiss under the mistletoe. Mrs Hall saw the whole thing unfold as she looked on with a look of disappointment on her face.
Fan Reactions
The moment didn't go unnoticed with viewers. One person said: "Nobody puts Audrey in the corner! This was so devastatingly hurtful to her and to us, I really, really hope that she will start admitting to her feelings for Siegfried in S7."
Another commented: "He doesn't yet realise who he is in love with!! So sorry for Audrey. The only reason she came back was him. Hopefully, season 7 will fix that." While someone else shared: "Mrs Hall is the star of the Skeldale household! Love her!"
