Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson has decided to give things another try with Zara McDermott in emotional scenes set to air tonight. The 28-year-old reality star had been torn between his head and his heart after discovering that his Love Island girlfriend had cheated on him in the past.
Throughout recent episodes, Zara was seen begging Sam for forgiveness after confessing to being unfaithful early in their relationship. In a sneak peek at tonight's episode, Sam brought Zara back to the same park where they initially parted ways.
Sam explained: 'I know this isn't a nice park for us, obviously it's got a lot of bad memories. We effectively broke up here but I wanted to bring you back here to say what I've got to say.' He added that after consulting friends and family, he decided: 'I'm not ready to let you go... I would rather regret trying and it failing than not trying at all.'
Zara, relieved, replied: 'I'm not crying because I'm sad. I feel relieved.' She thanked him for giving her another chance and promised: 'I want you to know I won't let you down with anything and you have my whole heart.' The couple then shared a passionate kiss.
The episode comes weeks after their shock split in September. Speaking to MailOnline in December, Sam said: 'I believe in forgiveness. I understand the context – and I think in any walk of life you can't move forward unless you forgive.'
