Sam Frost has filmed her final scenes as Jasmine Delaney on Home and Away, ending her four-year stint on the Australian soap. The actress, who joined the show in December 2017, left the set this week after agreeing a temporary break plan with producers last month to allow her to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
A Channel 7 spokesperson confirmed her departure in a statement, saying: 'We support and respect Sam's decision to leave Home and Away. Sam leaves with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.' Her exit is believed to be unrelated to recent vaccination discussions on set.
Last month, after the show's production company announced a compulsory vaccination rule from January 10 for cast and crew, Frost shared on Instagram that she would be fully vaccinated by late February following a scheduled medical procedure. She praised her bosses for their open communication and for accommodating her needs.
The original plan was for Jasmine to be written out temporarily, allowing Frost to return after vaccination. However, the decision was made for a permanent exit. Home and Away airs weekdays on Channel 5 in the UK and on Channel 7 in Australia.
