Salah's Agent Denies Turkey Move Speculation

Mohamed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, has firmly denied speculation that the outgoing Liverpool star has already decided his next club, following claims linking the Egypt captain with a move to Turkey.

Salah's Final Days at Liverpool

Salah ended his legendary career with the Reds last month after it was agreed he could cancel the final year of the two-year extension he signed in April 2025. As a result, Salah arrives at the World Cup with Egypt as one of the most in-demand free agents at the competition.

Fenerbahce Executive's Claims

Fenerbahce executive Ertan Torunogullari claimed this week that the 32-year-old is keen to move to Istanbul later this year. Speaking to Fotospor, Torunogullari said: “He was very keen on coming to Turkey. The meetings we had were extremely positive. We had established common ground with him on many issues, including his salary. I believe that if the new management makes such a request, Salah will wear the Fenerbahce jersey. We would be happy to work with the new management on the negotiations.”

Agent's Response

However, Colombian solicitor Abbas, who has served as Salah's representative for the last decade, has dismissed speculation that his client has already chosen his next club. In an address on X, Abbas posted: “Mohamed is doing perfectly fine and neither he nor I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people not involved in them. Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite response but that’s about it.”

World Cup Preparations

Egypt, who are currently training in Spokane, Washington, begin their World Cup campaign against Belgium on June 15. Salah's focus remains on the tournament, with his agent emphasizing that future plans will not be disclosed publicly.
