Coronation Street actress Sair Khan, known for playing Alya Nazir, previously dated Emmerdale star Simon Lennon. The couple were together for two years before parting ways in 2019, reportedly due to the strain of professional commitments.
Khan and Lennon first met in December 2017 at Buckingham Palace during a gala for the National Youth Theatre's 60th anniversary. Lennon, who played Ben Tucker in Emmerdale and 'Brains' in Michelle Keegan's Our Girl, was there to support Khan after her stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2018.
The split was attributed to Khan's intense training for the Channel 4 programme Sink or Swim, which a source said 'pushed her relationship to breaking point'. That same year, Khan also revealed the death of her mother in an emotional Instagram post.
Khan has since found happiness with partner Nathan Chilton, and the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Ayaan, in 2024. On screen, Alya is currently involved in a mystery storyline after an encounter with an unknown visitor.
