In today's episode of Emmerdale, Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) sneaks into the King household to cover her tracks, but her downfall is looming.
Sadie, who recently returned to the village, had told Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) that she had been in a secret relationship with Jimmy King (Nick Miles) for three years. Nicola was staggered and wondered if Sadie was lying. Sadie backed up her claims by providing Nicola with selfies of them both and information about their children that only Jimmy would have told her.
However, Jimmy did not betray Nicola for a secret romance with Sadie. It turns out that Sadie is broke and created the story about Jimmy to get close to Nicola and find a secret stash of money that Jimmy had hidden.
Sadie deletes the evidence
Earlier this week, Sadie realised Nicola was close to discovering her lies when she learned that young Carl had found a file on Jimmy's laptop with backed-up messages and voice notes. This meant Nicola could easily work through them and discover proof that Jimmy was not in a relationship with Sadie.
In today's episode, Sadie snuck into the King household to access the laptop. She found a voice note from Jimmy to Nicola, where he called her his 'one and only'. Sadie quickly deleted it.
The race for the money
This week, Sadie's quest to find Jimmy's money takes her and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to a golf club. Following behind them are Nicola and Rodney (Patrick Mower), but who will find the money first?
Once she gets home, Nicola finds Carl in a state after losing his presentation for his dad, so she logs onto Jimmy's laptop and finds the voicemails and starts to listen.
Sadie's exit teased
As iconic as Sadie's return has been, all good things must come to an end, as Patsy will film as her Emmerdale alter-ego until December.
Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper recently reflected on the star's return and what lies ahead in Sadie's exit story: 'As for how that story concludes, we are building to the end point and a big denouement for that character,' she said in a chat with Inside Soap.
'Sadie's momentum, and the impact she's going to have on our villagers, is only going to grow. There will be some incredible, exciting twists and turns, and a lot of unexpected revelations.'
