S Club 7 star Jon Lee, 43, is set to reveal a number of shocking revelations in the upcoming series of E4's Celebs Go Dating. The 43-year-old has joined the agency and is set to open up on his private love life for the first time.
This year, the show will see a huge twist, as the celebrities including Kerry Katona and The Chase's Mark Labbett head down to Ibiza to kick off their time in the agency, as opposed to the London offices. As the cast have already started filming, resident sexpert Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn has spilled all on what we can expect on the new series, including shock revelations.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Dr Tara said: 'Jon has had a really interesting journey since S Club and I know a lot of it hasn't been shared anywhere else. It's a really interesting and insightful investigation into what really has been happening in his life since S Club and what he's been doing in the recent years.'
'One of his revelations I was shocked,' Tara exclaimed, as she revealed Jon was the celebrity who surprised her the most in the agency. 'I thought Jon would come in a lot more guarded but he's not. He's ready to bare it all emotionally and it's a beautiful thing. I've been learning a lot about him already, and I have to say it's a very touching story.'
Since S Club 7 went their separate ways in 2003, Jon went back to the theatre, keeping his love of music alive. In 2010, the star publicly came out as gay, telling Gay Times Magazine he had been out to his friends and family for a while. 'It's never needed to be a huge change that I've had to tell everyone about,' he told the publication.
Jon has kept his love life out of the spotlight, but Celebs Go Dating isn't his first shot at looking for love on TV. In 2018, the star was a surprise contestant on ITV dating show Dinner Date. Opening up about his romantic life, Jon revealed he has been a little unlucky in love. 'Dating in S Club didn't really happen. I met people here and there, but you can't just say 'hi, I'm Jon, by the way I'm off for six months',' he explained. During the show, Jon had been single for a year. Although he picked contestant Jordan for a second date, the pair failed to meet again.
