Rylan Clark-Neal was left speechless during Wednesday's edition of This Morning after the wrong video footage appeared on screen for around ten seconds. The 28-year-old presenter appeared caught off-guard as the show quickly cut back to the studio, prompting him to tell viewers: 'I'm not a hundred per cent sure what we just popped up there… here is the right one.' The correct VT, featuring Denise van Outen discussing the weekly competition, eventually aired.
Later in the episode, Rylan referenced the blunder, joking that Lesley Joseph in the gallery had shouted, 'Quick! Promo my new show!' Co-host Sarah Greene chimed in with, 'Put me on! Put me on now!' Rylan cheekily added, 'She's very demanding, our Lesley.'
The programme also took a surreal turn when the duo interviewed scuba-diving instructor Rick Anderson, who claimed to be best friends with a shark. However, many viewers were unimpressed with Sarah Greene's interview style, particularly when she opened with 'g'day' and later struggled to contain her laughter while suggesting the shark be named Sheila. Viewers took to social media to criticise the broadcast as 'disrespectful' to the guest.
