Rylan Clark has marked his mother Linda's 72nd birthday with a touching throwback photo from his childhood. The 35-year-old TV and radio personality shared the image on Instagram, captioning it: "Happy birthday to my number 1. Happy Birthday mum x."
The photograph shows a young Rylan, now over 6'3", barely reaching his mother's waist while wearing a school blazer and tie. Fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes for Linda, with many calling her "a legend" and noting how "cute" Rylan looked in the early 1990s snapshot.
The tribute comes after a difficult period for the family. Last summer, Linda suffered a serious fall while on holiday in Spain, breaking her arm. Rylan was by her side during treatment and arranged a private medical jet to bring her back to the UK, costing £48,000. He later revealed on Kathy Burke's podcast that the incident set them back financially by around £100,000.
Rylan has also spoken openly about his mental health struggles following the breakdown of his marriage to Dan Neal. He credited his mother as his "entire support," saying he "couldn't have got through the past year without my mum."
