Rylan Clark has found love again four years after his split from ex-husband Dan Neal, and has already introduced his new partner, Kennedy Bates, to his parents. The 36-year-old presenter confirmed the relationship on his podcast How To Be In Love, describing it as 'very different' and 'a good sign'.
Kennedy Bates, a sixth-generation showman, is a director at Billy Bates & Sons Fun Fair in Leicestershire. He has made the business more inclusive by introducing SEN-friendly sessions for children with autism and sensory processing challenges, and frequently raises funds for local charities.
Clark spoke about the relationship on his BBC Radio 2 show with co-host Lottie Uttley, revealing that colleagues have met his 'lovely' new partner. He also clarified that he and Rob Rinder are just friends, dispelling rumours of a romance.
On his podcast, Clark told guest Louis Theroux that both he and his boyfriend want children, and they have discussed starting a family. 'I'm loving what I've got at the minute, and I want to keep it that way,' he said.
The TV star previously admitted to cheating on Neal, leading to their divorce. In his upcoming memoir Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, Clark reveals details of the split and the subsequent toll on his mental and physical health, including two heart failures.
