Ryan Reynolds has released a new Aviation Gin commercial with a vasectomy-themed Father's Day nod, poking fun at his own family size. The 47-year-old actor, who has four children with wife Blake Lively, created a drink called 'The Vasectomy' and quipped: 'Somehow I keep having kids.'
In the ad, Reynolds asks a slice of lemon how many kids it has and takes a dig at his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman, saying the drink 'pairs perfectly with two dads over 40, pretending they're not too arthritic to pull off a superhero movie.' The clip was shared on social media with the caption: 'The Happiest Drink on Earth. The @AviationGin Vasectomy, Deadpool Edition. Happy Father's Day!'
Reynolds recently joked to People magazine that he had one child while filming Deadpool and two during Deadpool 2, adding: 'Hopefully we don't do a Deadpool 8 because I don't want eight kids.' He and Lively have daughters James, nine, Inez, seven, Betty, four, and a fourth child born in late 2022 whose name and sex have not been revealed.
In the same interview, Reynolds and Jackman discussed instilling patriotism in their children. Reynolds said his kids 'love being from Canada' and tell people they are half-Canadian, half-American, while Jackman noted his children are proud to be Australian.
