Ryan Donnelly, the groom currently appearing on Married at First Sight Australia season 12, has a secret acting career that includes roles in Hollywood films and the iconic soap Neighbours. The 36-year-old project manager was spotted filming a new blockbuster with Teen Wolf star Dylan O'Brien in Sydney last month.
Fans uncovered old Instagram posts showing Donnelly in police gear, confirming his roles in Neighbours and NCIS: Sydney. He also appeared on Beauty and the Geek, Ashton Kutcher's reality show, leading some viewers to accuse the network of recycling actors.
Donnelly was paired with 29-year-old consultant Jacqui on MAFS, but their wedding day was fraught with issues. Jacqui criticised his hair colour, dog choice, and unshaven look, and was disappointed when he dropped her during their first dance. Donnelly reportedly begged producers to delete the footage.
The couple's relationship has continued to struggle, with Jacqui complaining about Donnelly's cleanliness after moving into their shared apartment. Married at First Sight Australia airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on E4.
