Ruthie Henshall reveals Fergie's shocking Andrew confession

Actress Ruthie Henshall, who dated Prince Edward for five years starting in 1988, has disclosed a startling confession Sarah Ferguson made about her then-husband Prince Andrew. In a column for the Daily Mail, Henshall wrote that while she and Edward lived in a "lovely kind of bubble," the same was not true for Andrew and Fergie.

Fergie's complaint about Andrew

Henshall recalled that Sarah Ferguson later complained to her that Andrew had never even been to a pub. This revelation contrasts sharply with Andrew's own claims about his pub visits, including his infamous alibi of eating at Pizza Express in Woking on the night he was alleged to have had sex with 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre. Henshall noted that while Edward took her to "cheap and cheerful Soho restaurants," Queen Elizabeth "had only been to one restaurant in her life," and King Charles "tended to eat at exclusive private dining clubs."

Royal living quarters

Henshall also described Edward's apartment on the second floor of Windsor Castle, originally the nursery he shared with Andrew. She noted the bathroom alone was the size of her entire flat, and the toilet had a private curtain. Edward had nametags in all his underwear reading "HRH Edward" so staff could distinguish laundry items.

Andrew's pub connections

It is now known that Andrew frequented the Red Lion at Axford in Marlborough, a country pub that has since closed. He used it as a base to visit Princess Eugenie while she boarded at Marlborough College between 2003 and 2008. Henshall still texts Prince Edward to this day, maintaining a friendship with the royal.
