Ruth Langsford 'Furious' Over Eamonn Holmes Christmas Snub of Son Jack

Ruth Langsford is reportedly “furious” with her estranged husband, Eamonn Holmes, after he failed to reach out to their son Jack over Christmas. According to sources, Holmes also gave the cold shoulder to his older children, Niall and Rebecca, from his first marriage during the festive period.

The Loose Women star is said to be unwilling to forgive her ex as their divorce proceedings continue. The couple announced their separation in 2024 after 14 years of marriage, following reports that Langsford discovered messages between Holmes and another woman.

A source told Bella magazine: “Ruth is furious that Eamonn made no attempt to reach out to his son Jack to offer an olive branch and try to build bridges over Christmas and New Year. She says the least Eamonn could have done was to reach out and wish him good tidings and keep the door open. She won't forgive him.”

Holmes has since moved on with counsellor Katie Alexander, who is 22 years his junior. In July, it was reported that his son Niall sided with Langsford after a major row between father and son. A source claimed: “Niall and Eamonn had a massive fallout. There was a huge row following his split from Ruth. Things were said between them that cannot be unsaid.”

Another insider added that Holmes’s children are “embarrassed” by his behaviour, saying: “All the kids are very upset, hurt and embarrassed by Eamonn's behaviour and are tired of the constant pressure of picking sides. They've warned him not to make them choose because he might not like the outcome, but he didn't listen.”

Holmes, who uses a wheelchair due to chronic health problems, recently made a dig at Langsford at an engagement party, reportedly calling Alexander his “soulmate” and quipping: “In sickness you find out who is there for you.” His children were reportedly unhappy with the comment.
