Ruby Wax Blasts I'm A Celebrity Hotel as 'Trash' in Hilarious Rant

Ruby Wax has launched a hilarious tirade against the hotel she is staying in ahead of her appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. The comedian, 71, landed in Australia only hours earlier before branding her accommodation 'trash' and demanding a room change.

Speaking to the Mirror, Wax said: 'This hotel is just trash… I am complaining and changing rooms already.' When asked if hunger and exhaustion might bring out a different side to her, she joked that the show's producers should be worried. 'Oh, then I would get snarly, but not to anybody. I would just get snarly at the people who are producing this show and remind them that they are insured and I could sue them,' she said.

Wax, who has interviewed some of the world's biggest names, quipped that she could bring plenty of stories into the jungle, including tales about Donald Trump, OJ Simpson and Sarah Ferguson. 'Oh, Donald Trump I do not think is too worried. I think there is a whole country that might agree with me... I do not think he will be listening to the show, so I will be okay,' she said, adding that campmates will hear her Trump stories whether they want them or not.

The comedian also revealed that her children are horrified she is taking part. 'My children were horrified, because I am in total embarrassment to them in general. My existence is mortifying to my children. The fact that I breathe is an embarrassment,' she said. Despite fears of heights and a recurring fear of plane crashes, Wax insists she is not a quitter. 'No, not at all, unless they surprise me, if they throw me off a cliff, I guess I will be leaving,' she said.

Wax is among ten celebrities taking part in the 25th series of the ITV show, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly. The line-up includes Kelly Brook, Alex Scott, Jack Osbourne, Lisa Riley, rapper Aitch, Morgan Burtwistle, Shona McCarty, Eddie Kadi, and Martin Kemp. Filming began on Thursday, with the first five celebrities skydiving onto a beach on Australia's Gold Coast.
