Comedian Romesh Ranganathan has sparked backlash after claiming the Royal family deserves a pay rise on a new comedy show. The remark was made during a preview of TLC's upcoming series Unacceptable, hosted by Ed Gamble.
In the clip, Ranganathan declared, 'My unacceptable opinion is that we should pay the Royals more.' The studio audience reacted with jeers, and 92% deemed his view unacceptable. The show features comedians presenting outrageous opinions and attempting to win over the crowd.
Other controversial opinions on the programme include Katherine Ryan suggesting all men should have vasectomies at birth, Ivo Graham arguing private school kids need state support, and Maisie Adam proposing AI should run the world. The six-episode series premieres on TLC.
