The Beckham family gathered in Mayfair on Sunday night to celebrate Cruz Beckham's 21st birthday, with tensions between the family and eldest son Brooklyn continuing to simmer. The Beatles-themed bash, dubbed 'The Grand Beatle Ball', was held at The Maine restaurant, which was hired exclusively for the occasion.
David and Victoria Beckham were joined by sons Romeo and Cruz, daughter Harper, and their partners, as well as former Spice Girl Emma Bunton. Cruz's girlfriend Jackie Apostel and Romeo's partner DJ Kim Turnbull also posed for family photographs.
Victoria shared a glimpse of the evening on Instagram, writing: 'Celebrating Cruz early!! We love you so much!!!' David echoed the sentiment, posting: 'We love celebrating you Cruzie. A lot of love in the room for you last night.'
Entertainment was provided by tribute act The Bootleg Beatles, with Cruz performing a guitar solo during 'Something'. The budding musician also played a set with his band, The Breakers, ahead of their first tour later this year. At one point, he appeared visibly moved as Harper and Apostel delivered a speech in his honour.
Notably absent were older brother Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz. The couple have been estranged from the family since Brooklyn issued a lengthy public statement last month, accusing his parents of prioritising 'Brand Beckham' and controlling the narrative around their private lives. He also removed a tattoo tribute to his father.
In his statement, Brooklyn wrote: 'I do not want to reconcile with my family. ... For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.' He added that he and his wife want 'peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.'
