Rob Rinder Fights Tears After Benedict Cumberbatch's Emotional Tribute on GMB

Good Morning Britain host Rob Rinder was left visibly emotional on Tuesday after a touching tribute from his close friend, actor Benedict Cumberbatch. The Sherlock star, 49, praised Rinder as a 'beautiful human being' during an interview on the red carpet for his new film, The Roses.

Cumberbatch said: 'He's an extraordinary human being, has an excessive amount of talent, he's so full of love and loyalty, it's his flaw in a way. He's so busy doing great and good things for others, he's a very sage person.' Rinder, fighting tears, responded: 'He'll make me cry.'

Co-hosts Kate Garraway and Melvin Odoom echoed Cumberbatch's sentiments. Rinder recalled meeting Cumberbatch on their first day at the University of Manchester, calling him 'the kindest and most talented man'. The pair have remained close, with Rinder serving as a best man at Cumberbatch's wedding and Cumberbatch officiating at Rinder's.
