Robert Irwin has offered Australia Zoo as a wedding venue for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, suggesting the couple tie the knot overlooking the zoo’s African savanna. The 22-year-old wildlife conservationist made the proposal during a year-end ABC News special, highlighting the venue’s popularity for ceremonies.
“One of the things that we do that is the most popular is weddings at Australia Zoo,” Irwin said. “You get married over that, and it’s stunning.” The zoo, founded by his late father Steve Irwin, has hosted numerous weddings described by couples as “life-changing”.
Irwin directly addressed the couple: “Wow, Travis and Taylor. You know what would really, in my opinion, just absolutely make that wedding? An Australian wedding. Hit me up – I’ve got you.” The offer comes after Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Instagram in August 2025, posting photos of the proposal and a diamond ring.
Swift previously joked on Late Night with Seth Meyers about keeping wedding details secret, suggesting invitations that dissolve after being touched. On the New Heights podcast, she recalled Kelce’s persistence early in their relationship, saying, “It was like he was standing outside my window with a boom box just yelling, ‘I wanna date you!’”
