Fiona Hepler Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of Chad Lowe and Kim Painter, has died. The Lowe family confirmed the news to People on Tuesday, September 29, saying: "We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona."
Family tribute to 'light of our lives'
Fiona, the niece of actor Rob Lowe, was remembered as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance." The family added: "She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives."

Birthday tribute and fire loss
Fiona, the second daughter of Chad and Kim, was born on November 16, 2012. Her middle name, Hepler, was Lowe's late mother's maiden name and is also Rob Lowe's middle name. Last year, Chad shared a celebratory post to mark her 13th birthday, writing: "Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!"
Her death comes just over a year after her family lost their home in the January 2025 Pacific Palisades Fire. Chad had praised his daughters' resilience to the loss of their home on Instagram, calling their attitude "nothing short of remarkable." He wrote: "Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what's left of their home. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose. Being their dad is my life's greatest joy and privilege."
Fiona is survived by her father Chad, her mother Kim, and her sisters Mabel and Nixie.
