Rihanna has diverted attention from her growing bump in a sizzling lingerie shoot for her brand Savage X Fenty. The music superstar, who announced she was expecting her third child with partner A$AP Rocky earlier this year, joked she was playing 'hide the baby bump' during the shoot.
Pictures show the star strategically covering her stomach while showcasing eye-catching floral lingerie, posing with her arms and legs positioned to hide her bump. She can also be seen posing with a plastic garden chair with her back to the camera, and leaning against a blue tiled wall to divert attention.
'It's me playing "hide the baby bump" whole shoot! boutta be a cheeky summer ☀️🍑 new mosaic floral lace @savagexfenty just dropped!' she wrote in an Instagram caption. Fans lauded the photos as 'incredible', praising the expectant mother for showing off her body while pregnant.
The shoot comes shortly after the death of Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, aged 70. The patriarch died early Saturday morning in Los Angeles, as confirmed by Starcom Network News, a prominent radio station based in Barbados. While the official cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, sources close to the family indicated he died after a brief illness.
Rihanna had a turbulent relationship with her father, who struggled with alcohol and drug addiction. In a 2011 interview with Vogue, she said: 'It's really strange... you grow up with your father, you know him, you are a part of him... and then he does something so bizarre that I can't begin to wrap my mind around it.'
