Geordie Shore Star Ricci Guarnaccio Announces Wedding Plans Following Rapid Romance
Reality television icon Ricci Guarnaccio has exclusively disclosed his intention to marry his girlfriend, Jenna Mumford, after a whirlwind romance that began less than a year ago. The Geordie Shore legend, now 39, confessed he "can't wait to marry her," following an instant connection when they first communicated via social media.
Love at First Sight on Social Media
Guarnaccio, who transitioned from reality star to musician, initially encountered aesthetics clinician Jenna Mumford through direct messages on social platforms merely six months prior. Despite his previous fears about never finding a partnership akin to his parents' enduring relationship, everything changed when Jenna appeared in his inbox.
The couple exchanged messages for approximately one month before arranging their inaugural face-to-face meeting. Ricci, known for his boisterous persona on the iconic MTV series, invited Jenna to attend one of his DJ performances in Guildford. Remarkably, he found himself utterly speechless upon seeing her for the first time at his hotel.
"I was like 'Oh my God, you're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen'," Ricci recounted to the Mirror. "When we were in the lift, I was so nervous – I never get nervous. I was lovestruck as soon as I saw her."
Accelerated Relationship Milestones
The romance progressed with extraordinary speed following that initial encounter. Within two weeks, the couple traveled to Portugal to celebrate Ricci's birthday, and merely one week afterward, they decided to cohabitate. Guarnaccio acknowledges that outsiders might perceive their relationship as advancing "too fast," but he maintains it represents the "best relationship" he has ever experienced.
"It's pretty fast, but we just clicked, I wouldn't have it any other way – everything just fell into place so nicely," he elaborated. "We've pretty much never left each other's side."
Ricci expressed profound admiration for his parents' long-lasting marriage, noting they remain inseparable in their sixties and seventies. He believes he has discovered that same profound connection with Jenna, someone who shares his aspirations and motivates him personally and professionally.
Musical Success and Career Evolution
Jenna has become an integral supporter of Ricci's burgeoning music career, which recently achieved significant chart success. His latest single, Walk Away (feat. Robyn Hart) with N.Jay, reached Number 12 on the Big Top 40 chart, positioning him alongside musical heavyweights like Arctic Monkeys.
"I'm on cloud nine," he exclaimed regarding his musical accomplishments. "The amount of love I've had for this single has been insane – it's nice to see the progression and the journey that I've done for the past nine, ten years with DJ'ing and producing."
Contrary to assumptions that his music career leveraged his Geordie Shore fame, Guarnaccio emphasizes he has dedicated years refining his craft. He participated in writing camps with prominent producers, practiced extensively in his garage, and secured placements for his music on programs like Love Island and the MTV network.
Geordie Shore's Transformative Journey
Ricci continues to appear on Geordie Shore, which is currently airing its twenty-sixth series. He acknowledges the program has undergone substantial transformation since its inception, evolving from its original focus on excessive partying and conflicts to a more family-oriented format.
"When we first started, we were going out and getting p****d and filming for six weeks, in Cancun etc we were going out twice a day," he revealed. "We couldn't do that now."
The cast members, now predominantly in their thirties and forties, naturally shifted away from nightly revelry. Ricci appreciates that the show now documents their authentic lives, including relationships and personal growth, rather than manufactured chaos.
He reflects fondly on reuniting with former castmates like Gary Beadle, Scotty T, Aaron Chalmers, and Kyle Christie during filming, though he notes some relationships remain strictly professional. The expansion from eight original cast members to approximately eighteen illustrates the program's enduring popularity and adaptation.
Personal Growth and Future Aspirations
Ricci openly discusses how his early Geordie Shore days potentially affected his romantic relationships and public perception. "When you're having a relationship on the show, it's difficult, you're living out your relationship on TV," he explained. "It's quite hard, people are going to have an opinion."
Nevertheless, he expresses no regrets about his past behavior, emphasizing his personal evolution. "I'm well over that kind of stuff," he stated. "If people want to give me a stick from 14 years ago, it is what it is. I'm a lot better person now."
He remains grateful to MTV, Lime Pictures, and Paramount for the opportunities provided, acknowledging the show granted cast members lives they "could have only dreamed of." While some former participants distance themselves from the program, Ricci maintains loyalty and appreciation for the platform.
Looking forward, Ricci Guarnaccio envisions a long, harmonious future with Jenna Mumford, describing their bond as solid and drama-free. "I can't wait to marry her, she's an absolute dream," he gushed. "It's really amazing to have met her at this point in my life. I just feel like everything's just perfect."
