Former Page 3 model Rhian Sugden has revealed she has undergone a breast reduction costing over £10,000, after describing her larger chest as 'back breakers'. The 38-year-old, who found fame as a glamour model at 19, saw her breasts increase from a 32D to a 34F after giving birth, causing significant pain and posture problems.
Sugden, who retired from Page 3 in 2017 and has since appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, said the weight of her breasts made walking difficult and left dents on her shoulders from bra straps. She admitted to living on painkillers due to the discomfort, leading her to seek surgery at Pall Mall Cosmetics in Newton-le-Willows.
However, the procedure has not pleased everyone, including her husband, Coronation Street actor Oliver Mellor. Speaking to The Sun, Sugden said: 'Oliver was gutted at first – he's always loved my boobs. But he understands and I think he'll be happy for me to stop moaning about my back ache, to be honest.'
She also faced criticism from some fans, with one demanding a 'refund' for content he had purchased online and in magazines. Sugden said she found it 'difficult' to process others having an opinion on her body, but she is relieved after the surgery.
The star, who now runs an OnlyFans account, hopes her new size will be closer to a C or D cup. She described the change as the 'end of an era' for her famous figure, but emphasised that her health was the primary motivation.
