Reuben Owen has been inundated with support from fans after posting a heartfelt tribute to his girlfriend, Jess Ellwood. The young farmer, known for his appearances on Life in the Dales and Our Yorkshire Farm, shared a series of adorable pictures on Instagram featuring himself and Jess.
In the post, Reuben wrote: "Some photos helping @jessica.ellwood1 with first cut silage #mygirlfriendissobeautiful." The couple, who have been dating since October 2024 after meeting at a young farmers' convention, star together on the Channel 5 series Life in the Dales alongside Jess's family, friends Capper and Sonny, and frequent appearances from Reuben's dad Clive and brothers Myles and Sid.
Fans React with Love and Support
Among the responses, Jess herself commented: "We have been super busy! Lovely post, love you so much," according to the Mirror. One fan replied: "Love you guys," while several others described the couple as "beautiful" and "gorgeous." Another supporter wrote: "So love watching you both so suited keep being happy together husband and I been married 66 years on the 23rd."
Reuben first rose to fame alongside his family on Our Yorkshire Farm, which documented life on their Swaledale farm. He now shares the triumphs and challenges of his machinery enterprise in Swaledale, as well as daily life on Jess's family farm, Brough Castle. The couple shared the update after filming on the latest series of Life in the Dales came to an end.
How the Couple Met and Their Future Plans
Jess previously shared how they clicked from the start: "Ever since we first met, we just clicked. I think it's because I'm from a farming background, so's Reuben." She added: "I just love him to bits. Love his family, get on great with them."
Reuben also told OK! magazine about their first date: "It took me a while to ask her out, I wasn't that brave but I just asked her one night, we went out for some tea one night and I'd lost my wallet and she had to pay for my dinner!"
In a previous interview with the Mirror, Reuben shared how his family reacted to Jess, including his mum Amanda, and their future plans to move in together. He said: "Mum and Jess get on well, they talk about sheep together, they all approve and they all get along really well." He added: "We're just waiting for something to come up. I've got to try and get a nice place, get a bit of a farm somewhere one day. It would be ideal to have a farm where I can park my diggers and she can have her sheep and cows."
