Reggie McFadden, the actor and stand-up comedian best known for his work on In Living Color and Def Comedy Jam, has died at the age of 57.
His sister, best-selling author Bernice McFadden, told The Hollywood Reporter that the family were informed he had died in Tanzania, where he had been living for the past 18 years. She added that the family currently do not know when or how he died. The cause of death is not yet known.

Born on November 30, 1968, McFadden grew up in Brooklyn. In 1991, he appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam.
After moving to Los Angeles, he landed small roles on shows including Martin, Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, Moesha and Coach. He is most known for his role on In Living Color, appearing in 23 episodes of the late-night Fox sketch series from 1993 to 1994.
Film and stage work
McFadden also had his own comedy special on Comedy Central and performed regularly at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. His film credits include Jacob’s Ladder (1990), Minor Adjustments (1995) and Little Nicky (2000).
McFadden leaves behind his other sister, Misty, sons Jaron and Myles, mother Vivian, and brother Kris.
