Reese Witherspoon has delighted fans by sharing a rare photograph of her daughter, Ava Phillippe, on Instagram. The 44-year-old actress admitted she is 'obsessed' with her 20-year-old daughter, who bears a striking resemblance to her famous mother.
Ava, who is currently studying at UC Berkeley, is also the daughter of Reese's ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. In the photo, Ava wears a red polka-dot blouse and a beige cardigan, enjoying what appears to be a lunch date with her mother.
The resemblance did not go unnoticed in the comments, with writer and producer Austin Channing Brown remarking, 'I sincerely thought this was you!' Reese captioned the post: 'I know she’s my kid but I’m pretty much obsessed @avaphillippe'.
Earlier this year, Reese spoke to Emmy Magazine about motherhood, referencing a passage from Celeste Ng's novel Little Fires Everywhere. She described the feeling of 'training yourself to live on the smell of an apple alone, when what you really wanted was to devour it', adding that her daughter's college applications made the sentiment 'hit me like an arrow in the heart'.
