Rebecca Loos has criticised the Channel 4 show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, claiming that directing staff asked 'too many questions' about her affair with David Beckham. The 48-year-old, who was the footballer's personal assistant in 2004, spoke on ITV's Lorraine about her experience.
She told presenter Ranvir Singh: 'I would have preferred to have spoken much more about the bravery in going public, in dealing with the British media, in going up against powerful PR machines and people with money and power. That for me was the most challenging time in my life by far so I did feel like there were too many questions about David Beckham.'
Ranvir questioned why she signed up knowing it would be a topic. Loos replied: 'Just to be clear, I don't mind being asked about it. It is part of my journey. It's just that there was slightly too much focus on that.'
Despite her complaints, Loos said she is 'so happy' she did the show. She quit last night alongside rapper Lady Leshurr, who left due to a neck injury. Loos became overwhelmed by a fear of heights during a challenge and broke down, saying: 'I'm out. I'm really sorry.'
