Yakir Levi, an Israeli-American entrepreneur and reality TV star, died after falling from the 28th floor of a Miami tower block. The 45-year-old was named by relatives as the individual who fell from the Acqualina Resort and Residences On The Beach in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, on Monday.
Incident and response
Officers and crews from the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called to reports of an adult male who had fallen from the structure shortly after 9.30pm. Upon arrival, they confirmed an adult male had fallen and determined he was deceased on the scene, a Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office spokesperson said.
Investigation
Detectives are working to identify the deceased and inform next-of-kin. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Homicide Bureau has taken control of the investigation, deemed an unclassified death inquiry. The manner and cause of death will be determined by autopsy results conducted by the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner.

A woman listed as Levi's sister on Facebook shared an emotional tribute: "My dear, precious brother. I entrust his soul to the Creator. May someone wake me up from this crazy nightmare."
Background
Levi served as an IDF soldier before relocating to the United States. He founded 770 Water Damage Restoration in Los Angeles. His social media profiles show he pursued a music career and appeared on an Israeli reality TV programme broadcast on Reshet. He was known for appearing in the Israeli Channel 13 documentary series The Americans, which tracks Israeli expatriates pursuing the American Dream. The programme chronicled how he claimed he landed in the US with $300 before building a thriving enterprise restoring properties. He was married to Meital Gershoni Levi, and they had three children. His last social media post, from the night before he died, showed him tagged in a group photo on Instagram captioned: "Nights we won’t remember with people we won’t forget."
