Queen Camilla's Tense Trooping Look Analyzed by Expert

Queen Camilla appeared tense as she joined King Charles for Trooping the Colour, according to a body language expert. The 78-year-old queen was spotted looking rather anxious while riding in a carriage along The Mall in London for the annual event marking the monarch's official birthday.

Expert Analysis

Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Express: 'Dressed in a regimental outfit complete with the feather in her cap, Camilla seemed to take her regimental duties rather seriously on her arrival and at the parade ground, often sitting unsmiling and looking rather tense as Charles appeared to try to engage her in some ongoing conversation or to throw her some looks that suggested concern.'

Moments of Anxiety

Ms James added: 'There were moments of regal smiles, of course, especially as she went past the crowds that lined the Mall, but between those projected smiles, her demeanour often suggested tension or some levels of anxiety.'

Queen's Outfit

The Queen looked elegant in a red silk crepe grenadier guards uniform dress by Fiona Clare. She paired it with a black Philip Treacy beret with a white plume and a Grenadier Guards cap badge, along with the Grenadier Guards' brooch on her chest. Camilla wore the colours of the regiment being trooped, the most senior infantry regiment in the British Army.

Other Royals

The Princess of Wales, dressed in pale blue, joined her children in a carriage. Prince George, 13 next month, and Prince Louis, 8, wore matching navy suits, while Princess Charlotte, 11, wore an off-white dress. All three children have attended the event many times before.
