Princess Catherine had a charming response when a young boy asked if she was 'the Queen's daughter' during her visit to Evelina London Children's Hospital in London today. The 44-year-old royal, who has been patron of the hospital since 2018, was touring the facility to learn about its work integrating specialist expertise with family-centred support for children and families facing difficult times.
Sweet Exchange with Young Patient
While meeting children on the wards, Catherine encountered 10-year-old Ejran, who asked if she was 'the Queen's daughter'. With a warm smile, she replied, 'No, I am Princess of Wales.' The moment was captured by photographers and drew attention from royal fans.
Royal Patron's Visit to Evelina
Catherine's visit focused on the hospital's efforts to combine medical expertise with compassionate care. As patron since 2018, she has regularly supported the institution's mission to help children and their families navigate challenging health journeys. The surprise appearance delighted many royal observers, who praised her demeanor and commitment.
One royal fan commented, 'Princess of Wales is the jewel in the British crown.' Another added, 'The Princess of Wales could genuinely give a masterclass on what it means to be a modern royal. Carole and Michael Middleton raised an extraordinary daughter - and it's clear Prince William not only loved her, but recognised she was born for this life of service.'
Adorable Moments and Personal Touch
Outside the hospital, Catherine received flowers from a little girl, prompting a third fan to say, 'Her compassion and connection with young patients and their families is always so genuine and uplifting.' The princess wore a white mid-length dress and accessorised with a blue friendship bracelet made by her 11-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte. Catherine had previously been seen wearing one of Charlotte's creations after completing her 'toughest challenge' last week.
