Princess Andre opens up about therapy and wishes for happier childhood

Princess Andre, the 18-year-old daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, has revealed she wishes she had a happier childhood. In her new ITV2 reality show The Princess Diaries, she discussed undergoing therapy and writing down her feelings.

She said she saw a counsellor and still sees her occasionally, but finds it difficult to talk, so she writes everything in her notes. She wished she could have had a more happier childhood, having had many things on her plate at a young age.

Princess acknowledged she had amazing times with her parents but also painful memories from when her mother split from Kieran Hayler when she was 10. She said they had grown close to him and loved him, and after the split everything went downhill.

She explained that her mother, heartbroken, did not deal with it well and went through a dark time. Princess was exposed to adult things children should never see, and her mother was emotionally unavailable due to her own problems.

Princess admitted that while she can talk about her childhood calmly, sometimes something triggers her and she realises she is still not over it. She said she would not say she is fully recovered but her mother is a different person now and has genuinely fixed herself.
