Princess Andre, now 18 and starring in her own ITV show The Princess Diaries, has spoken candidly about the difficulties of growing up in the spotlight and being caught in the middle of her parents' long-running feud. The reality star admitted she experienced things 'kids shouldn't see' during her childhood.
In her documentary series, Princess revealed she has attended therapy to cope with the pressures she faced from a young age. 'I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then. But I don't feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes,' she said.
Her mother Katie Price, 47, addressed Princess's therapy on her podcast, claiming it was not due to her split from Peter Andre but rather a family 'hijacking' incident. Katie also suggested Peter arranged therapy because Princess was 'losing weight'. Peter has since denied these claims in a social media statement.
Princess reflected on her childhood with a poignant wish: 'I do wish I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of, I had so many things on my plate at a young age.' She acknowledged having many good memories but wished for more happiness.
The renewed feud between Peter and Katie escalated after Peter posted a statement on Instagram accusing his ex-wife of 'repeated lies' and revealing that a 2019 family court order placed Junior and Princess in his care. Katie's spokesperson responded by saying she 'will no longer be gaslighted and bullied'.
