Princess Andre Hits Back at 'Nepo Baby' Claims Ahead of New Reality Show

Princess Andre, the 18-year-old daughter of Peter Andre and Katie Price, has dismissed accusations that she and her brother Junior are 'nepo babies' as they prepare for the launch of their new ITV2 reality series, The Princess Diaries. The show, which begins on Sunday, follows Princess and her family as they navigate fame.

Speaking to The News Movement, Princess acknowledged the term but stressed her independence: 'Obviously, if you're using the actual terms of a nepo baby then yeah, but we are focusing on ourselves and this is our own career. I feel like within the last few years, I've built myself as a solo person so this is a good time for the show to come in because it shows what goes on in my life without my parents.'

Junior, 20, echoed her sentiments, saying: 'Obviously we're going to be compared to our parents, they've done amazing things, that's where we've come from, it's inevitable. That's natural. What we're doing is focusing on ourselves and really driving and pushing our own careers and working hard. For us to succeed, we have to put in the work for it.'

The siblings appeared on ITV's This Morning earlier today to promote the series. Princess emphasised her growing independence from her parents, stating: 'I got older and a lot more things have come in for me solo. A lot of things I used to do was with my parents and now I'm doing a show that is independent and actually focused on me. Now is the right time because my life is busy right now and I want people to see it.'

Her comments come after Katie Price expressed upset over Princess being managed by The CAN Group, which also manages Peter Andre. Katie claimed she was not consulted on contracts and has been barred from photoshoots. In response, CAN Group told The Mirror that 'duty of care' to clients is paramount and that they have never prevented anyone from seeing their families.
