Prince Harry has been branded a “loser” by social media users following his latest interview on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast, which aired on Monday. The Duke of Sussex recorded the conversation during his five-day visit to the United Kingdom last week.
Harry’s self-description sparks backlash
During the podcast, Harry discussed topics ranging from his baldness and grooming routine to trauma, the World Cup, and his occupation. When asked what he does for a living, he paused momentarily before replying: “Full-time dad, British army veteran, Prince of England, Duke.”
This response angered some listeners. One critic posted on X: “Prince Harry is a loser who doesn’t know who he is. I don’t believe he’ll ever figure himself out. He’s frozen at 12.” Another added: “This podcast was good for everyone to see the real HARRY, not cutesy Harry love-bombing his papa when he wants money... the King needs to see who the 5th in line of succession is.”
A third user simply wrote: “[Harry] is a big loser.” A fourth echoed: “Prince Harry is a loser.” A fifth comment read: “He just embarrasses himself. He is unemployed and going broke—what a total loser.”
Harry on trauma and coping mechanisms
Elsewhere in the interview, Harry opened up about how he deals with trauma. He said: “Exercise, sport and being able to find the time to take yourself somewhere, do something – repetition is great, have a routine.” He also highlighted boxing as a favourite outlet: “Boxing, another thing that I really enjoy, just to let the aggression out, get a sweat on, to me it’s always about getting a sweat on.”
The Duke’s comments come amid ongoing scrutiny of his public appearances and statements since stepping back from royal duties. The podcast interview has reignited debate over his role and public perception.
